Our Optometrist or Optical Dispenser may also ask questions on lifestyle, occupation and hobbies to assist in choosing the best eyecare and eyewear options available. There may also be occasions when we need to obtain personal information from a third party. For example, we may collect personal information from your health fund or from a government agency such as the Department of Veterans Affairs. These third parties will advise to us of your eligibility to rebates on eyecare services and eyewear products. How we use your personal information In providing you with our services we need to collect personal information from you which is necessary for us to perform a thorough service and provide you with the most suitable eyecare. Your Optometrist and Optical Dispenser have access to your records for professional purposes only. We collect your personal information to provide you with the most suitable eyecare services and eyewear product. We may also use your contact details to: advise you on your eyecare needs including when you need another eye test; advise you if we relocate; seek your input on your service from Budget Eyewear; and keep you updated with new eyewear products and services and special promotions and offers. Our Optometrists, with your consent, may refer you to an eye doctor and forward relevant information to that medical practitioner about your particular condition. We keep your personal information up-to-date We require accurate personal information about you to ensure you receive the best possible service from Budget Eyewear. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is up-to-date whenever we collect it or use it. We will correct personal information If you find that current personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or out-of-date, please contact us immediately and we will correct it. You can access your information Budget Eyewear will on request provide you with information about you which Budget Eyewear holds. A small charge may be applicable to cover the administration costs involved in providing the information to you.
